BIOGRAPHY

     Hailing from Los Angeles, California. Rap group, THREE OR DIE is not the standard audible deviation. The group consists of members, BLANXX, GAZ and REDDOT. They bring a fresh new perspective to Rap music, with their different backgrounds. All three members having production experience makes for a sound that is not only diverse but interesting and thought provoking.

     Individually the members of THREE OR DIE all grew up in different parts of Southern California. It was the spring of 2009 when Blanxx and Gaz first crossed paths. At that time Blanxx was DJing a lot of parties in Los Angeles, Gaz began to do the same. During this time Blanxx met Reddot at a temporary job. Their extensive knowledge on music and similar humor quickly sparked the next friendship in 3OD’s history. In 2016 the three began to produce EDM together; this continued on for two years. After recording some scratch vocals for a track they were producing, the group soon realized they had something they felt gave them a serious sense of purpose — A mission to speak with their voice and create something that truly felt new and alive to them.

     The group’s sound is derived from quite a diverse recipe of different influences and textures. THREE OR DIE’s sound was not always what it is now. “We had to do a lot of soul searching to find the right tone, vibe, and overall energy of the music,” says Gaz. The new sound that was formed is what 3OD calls DETHWAV. The sound is a combination of New Wave and synthesized retro elements with melodic singing. This — backed by raw, in your face drum beats, punchy bass lines and creative rap flows sets the foundation for the new genre. “At first we thought it seemed a little crazy. The idea of having a Tears for Fears style vocal, over a Tyler The Creator type bassline, over a 3 6 Mafia type drum beat sounded... nuts.” - REDDOT

     On June 6th, 2021 THREE OR DIE released their debut album. DED END is the birth of a new era for the group. The album touches on the groups journey to self discovery. Written during a time of real personal struggle the album speaks deeply about the hard times they have faced as individuals and how the group has made them stronger as both individuals and a band of brothers.

     Prior to THREE OR DIE, the members have had quite an extensive history in the music industry. In the past, members have performed with act’s such as Carnage, BLAU and Kill the Noise, along with releases on Universal, Warner Brothers, and Ultra Records. As a group THREE OR DIE is just taking foothold with nearly 100,000 total streams across all platforms in their first eighteen months. 3OD has started to build a following of young people filled with intense thoughts and emotions. Collectively, THREE OR DIE aims to show youth that as humans we will fail, but overcoming our failures will lead us to more success.
